Fortissimo is a music festival with lots of other wonderful things on offer.
It was created in 2014 by the Balla Coi Cinghiali Association which has been organising events since 2006.
The association already organised a festival of the same name, Balla Coi Cinghiali (Dance with Boars), which had 80,000 participants in the previous year (2012).

Fortissimo takes place to the backdrop of the fortress in Vinadio, in the mountains of Cuneo. Names such as Africa Unite, Il Teatro Degli Orrori, Lo Stato Sociale, Mouse on Mars, Alo Wala, Bombino and many more graced its stage during the first two editions.

We worked with Luca Ghilino to create the corporate identity for the first two editions of the festival. The identity system was based on a series of festive, almost surreal, illustrations: the goal was to convey the mood of the festival and its many other activities.

The identity was partially updated for the second year, with particular focus on the website: here illustrations and calligraphy came to life unexpectedly, often interrupting and almost disturbing the user’s experience of the website.
